Took my VS for a rego check today and FAILED!!!!..
apparently the front wheels when off the ground have movement in them when jiggled... when i got the car home I checked this by placing the car on the jack and moving the wheels from top to bottom and for sure there is movement in both the wheels...
Has anyone come across this?? the guy said it could be the strut bolts, i checked and got the torque wrench out to check the tension and they seem to be fine...
Thanks
Daz

It might be the tie rod ends. But you can usually tell by moving the wheel side to side.

if its just the wheel moving about it could be the wheel bearings?
If its the strut moving... well... it could be a number of things
Usually it means wheel bearings / hubs.
easy test, place your hands at 12 and 6 o'clock on the wheel and push/pull back and forth, with the car jacked up, if there is movement up and down it's usually a wheel bearing, place your hands at 9 and 3 o'clock and push/pull back and forth if there is movement here it can be a tie rod end or in the steering rack etc. thats just a basic test though, also if its a wheel bearing you will get a grinding kinda noise when driving and turning a corner. hope his helps.
