    Default exhaust leak

    when i gave the car i kick in the guts i noticed it was louder when standing next to it, not from the rear, i lent down to notice from the cat, it was leaking!
    now, i know this will probably affect RW, so how would i fix it?

    an exhaust shop can weld it if its only a small crack... if not, replace the cat
    Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!

    Is it leaking from the actual cat converter or the seals to/from the cat? You might just need to put some new gaskets in.

    its from the cat to the exhaust going out, if that makes sense... so like its a gasket?
    my bad, i know jack shit about exhaust systems

    its proberly loose... gaskets are only about $5 each chuck some new ones in and tighten the bolts with spring washers
    Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!

    That particular gasket is about $15, it is a special friction type gasket that is designed to move. The bolts holding it together will have springs on them allowing the join to move. They do wear out because they move.
