anyone got 1? really need 1 or a solution to a dirty metal passenger dash missing the cover.
have you still got the cover, most people take it to a uphostry place and get it fixed and recovered.
The VS passenger airbag cover has to be the worst f**ken thing Holden have ever done. Sorry for not helping, just had to express my hatred!

no wreckers in perth that ive found have them and if you find one i was told itll be worth its weight in gold
To remove the airbag to fix, you must first remove the entire dashboard...that's 8 hrs at least.

contemplating suicide. best option besides maybe burning it. just want it fixed.
i got same thing![]()
I posted these pics previously but will do so again to help you guys, if this is something you would consider. I got a trimmer friend to recover the airbag on my sons VS Calais. As you can see, the "before" pic had a pretty bad cover on the dash. He was happy with to part with the $30.00 it cost him to have it done, as seen in the "after" pic.

But is it legal?.....it's something that will attract the eye of a diligent copper or transport inspector. I suppose it would depend on whether airbag actuation causes the cover to hinge up, rip or be part of the bag that hits you in the face.

could he trim it in vinyl to match the interior? I want a solution that nobody will notice.
I sought the advice from a panelbeater beforehand, my understanding is that it hinges upwards. It hasn't been questioned yet by anyone after 3 years and as far as I am concerned if it ever happens, then the most he is out of pocket is the 30 bucks he paid out in the first place.
legality and safety wise I'm sure it's fine, just after closest to standard looking as possible. if u could find out that would be great. I'll have to ring a few interior places myself.
does anyone know if a statesman top half of the dash will go in and suit my door air con vents, and can I just get a stato passenger airbag.
