    Cool I have a caramel wheel now what....??

    so i have found the mythical caramel wheel but now what do i do with it lol i have managed to get the strips off my vs and has left the black sikaflex. how do you use this wheel.. die grinder? drill? please help id love to get the ugly black tape off my car so it can be pretty again.

    Using a drill. Should of come with instructions or google.

    There is a special tool to use it with, you can get an air operated one or electric. It looks like a grinder.

    How To Remove Black Bumper Strips**UPDATED**use this one
    black strip on side of the car left alot of rubber

    But it sounds like the best way is to heat buggery out of the strips with a heat gun(but not so much you ruin the paint) and use a plastic paint scraper to get the bulk of it off. Then according to the posts, caramel wheel to finish it......but from what i read not many are having much sucess with the caramel wheel. Seems heat/ wax and grease remover/ other solvents are being used with lots of elbow grease to finish off.

    i found the best method was using a razor blade to glide along the paint to remove the bulk of it

    caramel wheels are more for vinyl pin stripe and double sided tape glue etc, not hardened silkaflex AFAIK.

    Sikaflex needs to be softened first before it comes off.

    Have to be honest that I've never heard of this caramel wheel but it does sound delicious!!!!!
