Hi,
I've only had my car a few months, and only noticed that when slowing down and rolling around a corner, it won't change back into 2nd gear. It'll stay in 3rd and won't kick back to 2nd until I start accelerating again. If I slow right down until I'm almost completely stopped, it will change back to 2nd. If I come to a complete stop, it'll change back to 1st no problem.
I'm not getting any fault codes coming up.
Any ideas? TPS maybe?
Cheers
did you find the problem by any chance?
I think i have the same problem. I have a stage 2 with upgraded servos, drum, shell ect ect ect and every now and again it wont downshift. but it will downshift when i tap the accelerator.
I have tried searching online but everytime someone has asked about it everyone jumps up and tells them how stupid they are for manually changing gears in a auto but no one tries to give suggestions.
Its a frastrating problem
You could try changing the Throttle Position Sensor or get the change points altered in the ECU by someone like The1 who is on this forum - Commodores have their change points set much lower than most other cars due to the engine characteristics etc so they can be less responsive unless you put the boot in.
