    Default injectors?!

How to check if my injectors are working correctly? My car when cold is nearly stalling when i come to a stop??it's a vs 304 manual. When the car is warmed up, it runs fine?? Is this an injector problem, or something else? Appreciate Any Ideas what could be causing this!

First up,try checking for any logged error codes.Heres a link to a post that shows you how to do this test if you dont already know how.Let us know what codes, (if any) you get. These codes will tell you if the engine management systems and all its sensors etc,are all working correctly.

It flashed once then 1 second then flashed twice. Then 3 seconds it did the same so flash stop flash flash then 3seconds repeat. Is this code 22(tps) or code 12(everything ok)?

It will flash once, then pause, then flash twice quickly, this is code 12.First it should flash up code 12 three times to show the start of the test, then it will flash up any logged error codes, then it will flash up code 12 again to show the end of the test.It then repeats this over and over if the ignition is left turned on whilst the jumper wire connected. If theres no logged error codes, you will get a constant code 12 over and over which means systems all ok.

No,but Id first just check that the rest of the engine management system is working correctly before going on and checking for other things like dirty injectors or whatever.I also doubt that dirty injectors would come good and run better after the engine had warmed up.Once injectors get blocked or dirty, they will usually just make the engine run crook all the time, hot or cold.

Mate these EFI engines dont use a choke. The engine computer just orders a richer fuel/air mix by injecting more fuel at cold startup. The computer always knows the engine temp, and knows when the engines cold from the readings it takes from its engine temp sensors etc.

Ok, so maybe i need to warm up the car longer? Usually 5 mins, or should it be longer? Like I said once the cars warms up after driving a while it's fine?

Is the IAC sticking? Also could be temperature sensor related. It maybe reading constantly high and not riching up the mixture when its cold.

Fitted a brand new IAC, two months ago I started car and reved out constantly to 6000rpm. The iac was stuffed cloged up with carbon. So it's not the iac.

If theres any problems with the IAC or the temperature sensors or any other sensors, then it should log an error code. Also just because you have replaced something a few months ago doesnt mean you should rule it out as not being faulty until its been fully tested/checked.Ive seen plenty of these sorts of parts fail very early on,especially some of the cheaper aftermarket parts.I always use genuine holden sensors when replacing sensors etc, they cost more ,but usually last for years.Theres still a lot of these cars about that still have some of the original genuine sensors on them 16 years later.
