Default 95 VR bonnet not opening.

When I pull on the leaver it won't pop open but if someone pushes on the bonnet at the same time it will open.

    Anyway to fix this?

    Cheers

    Grease the pin.

    Or replace the cable.

Yeah I have this issue too, If im on my own I just reach into the car with one hand and pull the bonnet release latch while the other hand bangs on corner of the bonnet popping it open. Adjusting the rubber stoppers on the underside of the bonnet can help but try some grease as mentioned above first.

Also, the spring that holds the pin in bends. A lot of people assume the cable stretches, it doesn't, the spring bends when the pin is dry and needs more effort to open the bonnet. You will need to bend the end of the spring where the cable attaches out a bit, opposite to the way it pulls in when the cable is pulled. This is done with two screw drivers, one to hold the middle of the spring hard against the edge of the hole, the other to bend the end out a bit. This, as well as greasing the pin, will fix your problem.
