Default VS V6 coolant leak from the bypass hose?

Hi guys, have recently replaced almost my whole cooling system including radiator, hoses, water pump and heater tap. I have just noticed a fresh leak coming from the heater bypass hose fitting where it joins the pump. Before I take the hose off, is this just an o-ring seal? I just need to know what to buy before I pull it apart.

Cool thanks for that, off to supercheap or autobarn for me tomorrow, I probably would have one at work that would do but seeing as I've done the rest of the system properly I might as well get the right one for the job, thanks again

If you are lucky it will only be the "O" ring that needs replacing, if unlucky it will be a corroded casting. Seeing as you have had to replace so many other cooling system parts, I'd wager on this being buggered too. Sorry for being negative but it's best being forewarned. Hope I am wrong.

The best I've found is Sikaflex...not sure the exact version but this stuff is black and takes about 3 days to become reasonably stiff, sticks to any clean surface like s**t to a blanket. If you do proper preparation, the joint will never leak. Used plenty on my daughters KC Laser....even stopped it leaking from where the distributor goes.

Well 50c later and no more leaks, Oring was stuffed, placed a new one in there and presto, had to try a couple of different sizes but found one which fit perfect (not the one pictured), thanks guys
