Default More problems with my Ute :(

ok so i fixed my last problem which turned out to be someone decided to pour something into my fuel tank. i cleaned and flushed out the fuel system (Tank, Lines, Rails and Injectors). was running good for a little bit but now i have another issue. while im just cruising along i lose all acceleration but if i let the peddle off a bit it works again but stops working shortly after and keeps doing it each time i drop back on the peddle. its kinda like from full throttle down its slowly draining. if i turn the car off and go again it works good for about 500m then starts draining again. its a 1997 VS V6 Manual Ute

It isn't get enough fuel, air or spark...I'm guessing fuel replace your fuel filter. Check to see if your injectors are working properly and also check your fuel pressure regulator.
I'm not 100% sure but that may be causing a problem as your tank was tainted.
Also check you spark plugs and leads just encase

air is good, all spark components are brand new, i took the fuel line off the rail and turned it on and there is a good flow so i know there is fuel getting there

Sounds like your pump pressure is low.. and the pump itself is lubricated by fuel, so if someone poured water or something in, its probably seizing slowly. Sure you turned the pump on and fuel came out at idle revs, that doesn't mean you're getting good pressure at speed or under load now does it? fuel coming out the rail only means your pump is working, not working well.

Defiantly, change the pump and filter.. When you have done that, it wouldn't hurt to put some Injector cleaner in there.. (If you want too that is.)
But as Vee-Ard said, I'd be defiantly checking into the Fuel pump .. Suppose you wouldn't happen to know what got in there?

I had EXACTLY the same issue mate, ended up replacing Fuel pump, filter, TANK, cleaning out all the fuel lines with carby cleaner or replace them either way they're going to need to be clean also clean the injectors. Really I'd be replacing it all to know its done right.
