I use either brand and I find them both pretty good. They both get pretty dusty if you worry about that sort of thing. As long as they stop good, thats all I care about, and they both do that pretty good. The VR/VS brakes were never the best anyway. Some people swear by QFM pads,I havent tried them yet.I intend to though.Apparently they have a police spec pad which handles heavy stops better.I brake heaps hard in my car so I go through a set of pads every 9 -12 months or thereabouts.

Always use ferodos as they are made alot better these days and as brett said they are dusty but if you dont want any dust then you will have to pay $300-$400 for the dust free ones

I have had limited experiance with ferodo, but the one set i had sqeeled like a banshee and the bendix pads ive had were way too dusty. Acdelco's have served me well and i'll continue to use them.

Currently running bendix's in my VS and they are not too dusty. Previous pads were whatever holden fitted to them and they were a lot worse for noise and dust.

I guess it depends on which particular pads your comparing.

Bendix and ferodo both make many, many different kinds of brake pads. From the lower end of the market right up to the real expensive gear. It would be stupid to base your decision on brands alone

Just fitted the new Bendix CT's to the VY. They are ceramic now, very low dust, no noise.

I recently bought Ferodo pads and then replaced them with Bendix a few weeks later because I didn't like cleaning my wheels nearly every day. There was nothing wrong with the pads performance just overly dusty.

Yeah Pete, will do. I've had them on for around six weeks and there is no dust, no noise and they seem to stop the car well.
This pay, I'm getting the same for the front so that will be the big test, when I have them all round and the fronts doing most of the work.
BTW, I still have the factory rotors on which aren't too bad, but obviously have seen better days. Yet despite that, there is still no noise.

OK, update for VSPETE: I installed the same Bendix general CT's on the front yesterday and noticed a remarkable difference in stopping ability. Honestly, the feel of the pedal is great and if I brake hard, like when I was testing them, it gets the ABS pulsating even on bitumen. With the old pads I would really have to 'stand' on the pedal for this to occur, but now the pads bite really well. No noise, no dust. Awesome!
