pics would be good as we can see exactly what you mean, as for the terrible creaking, my ute's lower trailing arm bushes had completely busted and i had a terrible sound from the bolt rubbing in the eye of the arm, anyways bought some new arms got them real cheap with bushes already pressed in and just fitted all new arms my self, here is a link to the how to i did on it hope this helps
How to replace lower and upper trailing arms
i think perhaps i should upload some pics for you to take a look it has been bodged up with a weld and im not sure whats invloved with the problem im talking about and also the idiot installed bushes without lube so it sounds like a dodge pheonix when i go up a driveway haha
here are some pics of control arm with the pressed chassis mount, is it possible to repair or stop the horrible creaking at the moment doesnt seem like its going to break it seems actually stronger then standard but im curious as to why someone would do this and if its possible to return to standard! haha
anymore advice or help would be much appreciated guys!!
mate that mount looks like it may have broken at one point and they have just welded it back up to stop it from splitting.
i think you can still use it though, if you can pull the arm off still then you can grind it back smooth and just replace the bush if needed, if the bush is still good just pull the bolt out drop the arm down and still some high temp high pressure grease in there and it will stop the squeak.
If you can get a few more pics maybe a better quality if possible then that might help as well
i think if its possible to drop it the grease should do the trick i mean it doesnt seem to have poor integrity just looks shabby which is correct grease or lube? dont wanna throw sum shit on it that eats it away slowly
also thanks again for help![]()
maybe, but the nut looks as if it's got a blue nylock tip on it which is odd because all of those nuts have crimped ends to lock them on, maybe some thing broke and they have had to get other parts for it?
As for the grease i just used some high temp high pressure stuff we had that we used on our project car, seems to have done the trick on my bolts
hmmm im not sure i shall investigate further haha i'll give it a look on the weekend, thanks mateall the best

Also, the car should be on level ground before final tightening of the suspension bolts. You can't tighten them with the car jacked up.
just looks like they have fixed a torn mount with a new piece of steel and drilled a hole in it
does it look like something i should be worried about at 150kph? if so where in adelaide is the place to take her?

if the car doesn't feel different then it's fine just grease up the bolts and as woteva said make sure you do the final tighten when the car is on the ground
