Hey guys. ive read a few threads on here and they havent really haelped. anyway i have a vs and it seems to misfire under load but runs fine at idle and has no problems turning over and never stalled.
i took it to a mechanic thinking it was a coil pack problem (as i changed plugs and leads recently) and they told me that the CAS code came up. but my problem isnt consistent with a CAS issue?
can anyone help me out?
cheers.
When was the last time you saw your engine?

This is the sort of stuff that happens when the kids get into Dads tool box over weekend.

Mine was the same just got worse, gave me a CAS code also, but i had it changed not long ago
so i bought a new coil from Repco about $35 first one i changed over fixed the problem,
i knew as soon as i seen the title someone would have said something smart LOL
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
ahahah i should have thought of something better for the title but oh well. its throwing up fault code 49 which is cam/crank angle sensor. but the mechanic recons its one of the coil packs so im gonna do some changes with a new coil pack and find the broken one and go from there because he recons a coil pack can throw up a fault code :S so yeah ill let everyone know how it goes.
Coil packs can not set fault codes.
CAS or wiring to it is faulty if setting codes.
