    Default Vs wheel wobble

    Hi , my Vs has of late developed a sort of wheel wobble that seems to be comming from front drivers side , i have put on new rubber , checked outer tie rod had discs machined and put new pads on , all to no avail , it seems a lot worse whenn turning right at slowish speed , almost like the wheel was buckled , whoop,whoop,whoop and the steering wheel vibrates in unison !, straight ahead not to bad though , any ideas ? , ta

    hub assembly / bearing? just a guess though, could be a few things I suppose but that is what i'm sticking with for now.

    Check the bearing in the strut tower.

    Thanks for reply , when i jacked it up to check tie rods , there was no play , dummy i should have thought of bearing ! , ill give it a go tommorrow.

    To check strut tower , do i raise vehicle by jacking up under control arm?

    I dunno how you'd check it in the car?
    Maybe just jack it and and see if there's any noises from it when you turn the wheel?

    your wheelnuts are tight arent they? just thought id ask, but id be thinking a buckled wheel i had the same problem recently, changed the wheel and problem solved mine was a back wheel and i thought the diff was going to fall out at least it felt like that.

    ^Easy thing to check, stick a different wheel on it and see if it makes a difference.

    Hi ,just jacked up car again and no wheel bearing movement , lifted wheel up while car was one up and the strut bearing had some movement plate looked fine ,think its ok. Im wondering i put new rotors/pads in a week ago, cdould they be grabbing somewhat ? , that may explane why it mostly does it just before/after a corner

    Hi , have gone to hell and back trying to fix prob , apparently the discs my made gave me to replace old ones , have a millimeter smaller stub oppening that needs to be reamed out , didnt notice at the time but the discs didnt fitt in the stub properly ! , anybody come across this ?, cheers
