    To start with:

    Extractors & Catback System
    Memcal
    Plenum & Manifold Spacers

These should be a good start

    After that:
    Cam
    Roller Rockers
    Vortech/Raptor Supercharger
    Bigger injectors

    the list is endless

Be prepared to spend big $$ chasing power though the above list will set you back around $6000-7000 at a minimum, most will tell you go to a V8.....I am just experimenting with the list of mods above on mine before I contemplate the V8 option

I would go for a better flowing exhaust
Cam,ported heads, herd that roller rockers are good value.
How long you keeping the car? If not very long just get a cat back exhaust.

dont waiste your money on a 6. Buy a v8

nah first thing I would do is buy an exhaust, it might not be the best perfomance wise compared to other mods but thats what i'd do. A nice flowing exhuast

if you really want to do something serious.
    Stroke, Bore, Charge and Cam.

mind you, its better to buy a car with it already done (and a v8 =P).
as to do it all yourself can easily amount to $20000+
due to you need to have it all tuned, installed, and have the suspension and braking to match it

so in other words it really is useless to modify a v6 unless you want to spend $20k+
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

you dont need to spend 20k to get VS with a decent ammount of power, purchase a complete L67 engine and supercharger off of ebay for around 2-2.5k drop it in with a full exhaust system $500 max if you shop around and get the extractors second hand, add a boost upgrade pulley for another $300 and leave the car alone.

Almost forgot to install a 10psi pulley on a car with a donated l67 you would need to spend $150 and replace the fuel pump with a bosch 044 or similar fuel pump

this is the other option if you dont want to spend like $20k+ to do something really worthwhile with an ecotec
    forgot about the L67

but yeah search the forum, im sure many have asked these questions before

Your kidding right? 20k.. I bet there is the the complete engine that will put out a fair bloody bit, im talking the stroker, heads, cam, dual throttle bod intake, full rebuilt. Looking 8K. Exhaust 1K if you want it new. Tune. Well if your willing to learn, $140. Suspension all brand new and properly, 1K, and a VT brake upgrade for another 1K. So without some FI your looking at 12K. And as it sits now, you can pick up a single turbo kit for the ecotec that bolts on to a stock standard one for 1.5 to 2K and send it into low 12s i think it was.

And all that is available to the public. You can even save more money if you know where to look and/or buy second hand.

well for mine when i get it on the road will have extractors, high flow exhaust, 3000 stally, 3.7 lsd, roller rockers, K&N air filter, CAI, port the heads a bit and that will result in a tame freak. after that its a nissan motor or LS3 conversion for untamed freak
Stuntmanmike: At least he didn't advise for me to check the head light fluid and bring it in to tune the radio...

Good luck to you sir. Dawnrite's figure is pretty accurate, if you want to do it right first time round.

More than 1K for all new suspension parts as well.

Cant remember the the brand of turbo, but i will by the next Powercruise as a mate is buying it.

    1K gets:
Struts and shocks, springs, strut top bushes and bearings, sway bar link pins, strut brace, adjustable pan hard rod and a wheel alignment.

I still find that extremely hard to believe.

    Considering GSL's spring/Strut package is $650ish alone
    Strut tops $70ea.
Panhard rod and strut brace $150ea.

Link pins, bushes, bearings and wheel alignment on top of that, for $1k your dreaming.

I got simillar work done but for IRS including bump stops, an issue with the camber kit fixed and front and real alignment, wheel balance and got change from a grand and that was from peddars whos prices are widely know to bend you over without even offering a reach-around

Well its pedders i got my quote for the strut brace and pan hard. Cheapest i found. WASP sway bar links, nolathain strut tops then monroe sports gt gas, what ever, struts and shocks and king spring springs.

Should be about $100 for the toe and camber correction kit, then $50 for an alignment.

A VS 5-speed straight away makes more power than an Auto.

If you want to up the power, an SC14 Supercharger will do it for ya. If not that, then an L67 conversion is another option. Then if you want more power out of those, then throw on a Smaller S/C Pulley, and then you should have some decent power.

Then you look at some Extractors, a 2 1/2" or 3" High-flow Exhaust system, a Better Clutch, etc.

    Woz.

a real cheap option is to make up your own enclosed pod filter, polish your intake plenum and intake runners, port match them to eachother and the heads, put an exhaust in, get some good lowered shocks, stiff springs, 30mm swaybar and a vt brake upgrade and you're set. thats what i have done to my car and i love it.

I should be able to tell you soon how much power this list will make:
    12mm manifold spacer and insulator
    70mm throttle body
    Custom air ducking
    OTR CAI
Port matching the plenum, insulator and manifold
Port matching the manifold to the heads
Polishing the inside, well not polish but remove all pitting.
