    Default Overheating...

    Hey i have a VR commodore about 180 000ks on it
    has heaps of coolant and oil but gauge keeps going to the red even tho
    the car is not really hot at all...

    maybe thermostat but is there anything else it could be??

    Thermostat is the first to rule out since its cheap and easy to replace. Also you wanna make sure the systems bled properly

    new water pump about 1 week ago... it may have a huge airlock..but will tru a new thermostat..

    is there such a part like a temp sender unit??

    Check for air locks, they maynot have bled the system when the water pump went on. Plus rip the thermostat out to see if its that
