hi guys im looking for the globe socket that fits into the back window break light for a vs mine is missing i hope some one can help me im in roxby downs sa 5725
We were in the same position, ended up finding a 5 watt bulb that would fit thru the hole at the bottom of the light unit, then soldered the cable to the bulb, pushed the bulb into the unit and then pushed in some foam plastic to retain the bulb/wiring in place. The brake unit is plastic so the bare wiring on the bulb should not short out. There probably is a 'correct' socket, but this method works just as well.

There is not much at Roxby Downs. Don't think you will have much luck finding 1 there.
You could try what hako said, try ebay or ask a wrecker to post you 1.

some one must have one??
I'm sure these brake lamp sockets are/were available from Holden. We used to keep a handful in stock as every second Commodore had a melted one.
Just push the 2 pins out of the old one and clip them into the new one. No wires to join.
This looks like it might work.
