i had a corvette servo and stage 2 shift kit in my vr definatley was worth it in my opinion did chirpys everytime it hit second gear.
Don't buy from this guy: jamesconstantvelocity he does not sell sonnax servo's, they are some cheap brand. He'll then try to blame sonnax for not importing to Australia as they have halted export's due to the global financial crisis!
Complete and utter TOOL.

The only problem I have with these kits is, increasing fluid pressure without the proper hardware to be able to handle it, ur box won't last to long. The corvette servo has a larger surface area for the fluid to push against, no extra pressure needed, but shifts quicker reducing heat and in turn less wear. This kit, means higher pressure = more heat, and that on the standard surface area won't be good in the long run.
Do it once, do it properly.
EDIT: his post is part wrong about the vr's, all vr's have the 4l60e auto
I thought VRs had a different box in some of them and the higher ends only had the 4L60E?
Also, iv been running the temp display one for a year now, It doesnt get that hot, unless your stupid enough to run it 24/7 and that would make for one uncomfortable ride.
Nar the vr's were the first to have the electronic 4l60 hence the e at the end.
Te good thing about the servo is that if your grandpa'in it around, it's shifts are quite gentle, and u really wouldn't know it's there, had mine for over 4years, when u punch it, shifts are firm and quick. No need to worry about pressing a button, it's all on demand.
Oh true that sounds alright. Due to the person that made that kit messaging me, i had to remove the info as the product is not yet released. Im one of the testers.
Im currently designing a custom tune. So on the basics of using full line pressure as well. No more then factory will allow. Since its all factory i dont see how it would do more damage then the one previously mentioned.
Heres an image, not the full extant of the tune but you get the idea as i dont want to show the complete tune![]()
i know nothing about tuning.. but when you do a tune can you tune the cpu to have 2 different settings with the power button? power mode to shift hard etc and normal to shift soft (stock) ?
Yea thats what im doing with this one. Im just messing around making a tune for something to do. Econ is factory tune (since the engine is stock) then you mess around when the the performance mode settings and then you have your race button lol.

Remember to turn off Adaptive Learning otherwise you'l end up back at stock.
I did a tut a while ago which may help you, so you can tune it properly.

sorry to kick an old thread, but did you have any luck with the two seperate tunes and is it worth getting the corvette servo by it's self or should i save the bit extra and get a stage two shift kit?
vette servo is a cheap worthwhile upgrade, it was GM's fix for flaring issues. Tunes can do many things depending on model car, shift kits depending on setup are designed to do different things, mainly increase shift speed of some clutch packs.
