Default Wanting to get that nice deep burble with next exhaust, what set up do i need

Hi all, High on my "To Do" list for my car after i get hitched in a few months is put a decent zorst on as the current item just doesnt cut it. Plus i'll be gunning for a 6 speeder mid next year and the extractors on the car wont fit with a 6 speed anyway.
So can any1 help me know the actual set up im after

The extrators will fit, just the Y pipe will be different.

I would go twin cats off extractors, twin 2 1/2 into a single 3" into a straight through front muffler and rear resonator.

I was thinking the same but I had no idea how it'll sound so i had to ask for advice. Hi-flow cats too im guessing?
I hate the extractors on the car so they must go anyway, crappy 4 piece into a crappy single cat Y pipe

I have Lukey extractors, twin 2.5in 200cell cats, merge to single 3inch flowmaster muffler, to straight through resonator on the back. Sounds deep as, but pretty aggressive when u stomp it

if you want a nice deep rumble go with what abba said but instead if having straight through pipe in the middle get a set of hotdogs

depending on where your twin 2.5in merges into single 3in (im guessing at the diff like they usually do, id have the twin hotdogs in the twin 2.5in section

I agree, too much drone with Hotdogs. I have pacies, twin 3" magnaflow cats modded down to 2.5", H section balance pipe, 2.5" twin system all the way through. Luke Turbo mufflers, and hotdogs on the rear. Sounds nice, but drones at around 1500-1800rpm due to the hot dogs. Next time I would go with twin 2.5" rear resonators instead of the hot dogs. Lots of single 3" systems around that sound good too, and cost less.

No, it doesn't drone because of the hotdogs, it drones because you have 3" cats.

I have done a few twin 2 1/2" systems on VN-VS 5.0L's and always us 2 1/2" cats and no resonator or hotdogs on the rear and never had a problem with drone.

Cheers thanks, it's hard to get straight advice on exhausts sometimes. Seems as though bigger is not always better. Any particular cat setup you would recommend for a 2.5" twin system with a mild cam?

It's a 5L, go a twin into single system and it'll never sound bad. Avoid full twin sytems without a merge at least unless you like the thong slapper sound
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
