    Default Volt Gauge

    Hey all,

    Today i brought a new Calibre Volt Gauge and im a bit confused,it has 4 wires.... Black=Vehicle Ground
    Red=Ignition Switch
    White=Dash Lighting
    Orange says it goes to the positive on the battery? LED memory?

    Also could i hook up the Red to the cig lighter power or would that be Inaccurate?

    Thanks
    Will

    That would be fine..
    Red = power sauce when ignition is on
    Black = Vehicle Ground
    White = Dash Lighting
    Orange = constant power IE: the battery supply

    You should ask this question in the "Electrical" section for more answers.

    I recently installed a Calibre oil pressure gauge which also needs a constant power supply. I don't know why, but I did like it said and it works well.
    I also asked about wiring a volt gauge and replies said basically any 12 volt source, such as cigarette lighter.
    'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
