just lowered the ride 40mm all round, and the rear rides way to hard but the front is fine?both ends of the wagon have monroe gt gas sport fitted.are shocks on the back too blame?cheers
That's how it is with lowered springs. You'll get used to it.
As soon as you drop the ride height you lose all comfort and you'll feel every bump and pebble in the road.
Replacing shocks won't do anything for ride comfort if you've dropped it by 40mm.
you can cut about 20 30mm off the bump stops to give it extra play assuming that the setup in a wagon is the same as a ute you should be fine to do that it will ride a bit better than but not the same as factory
but who in the hell would want a factory ride hight in there vs anyway to high
With Superlows in a live axle sedan, I'm miles away from the bumpstop.
Even superlows aren't that 'super' low. No wonder half you guys run ultras in the back.
Jeez, I can only imagine how bone shattering the ride would be with those....
I can sypathise with this, it feels shocking. I took out the rear pedders springs that were in there and replaced with some king SL springs which are a fairly soft spring(as far as lowered springs go) and i put in some really cheap shocks from supercheap(there all soft and dont work properly). Made a big difference, however its still harsh but that has more to do with running low profile tryes then the suspension.
Spose thats the other thing you could try, get some 15" wheels and run a soft high profile tyres.
took out the eibach 40mm lowered springs and put in a set of lovells sport low ( 25mm drop from std ) and she is a dream to drive.still goes around the bends as good to.
i lowered my vr wagon by about 30mm
bought all the stuff through greg on here
kings low coils and kyb shocks all around
i wouldnt say its a harsh ride, has stiffened things up a bit
i don't need a kidney belt to ride in it though
