Hi guys, I recently put on a new radiator cap and now sometimes there is a little puddle of coolant sitting on top of the cap, is this normal for any reason or have I just scored a dud cap?
Also I seem to be leaking coolant, but I can only trace it up to the underside of where the coil packs are, around the pulley on the passenger side of the water pump.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

I have scored alot of dud caps lately, if you need confirmation have a radiator shop test it.
FYI alot of dud caps I have found do not tighten down enough.
The coolant leak is probably from the inlet manifold which corrodes and leaks coolant past the gasket....fairly common. Check that you have the correct "coolant recovery" cap.

Sounds like you have to do your inlet manifold again and this time torque it to the correct settings?

Sounds like the puddle of coolant on top of the radiator cap is caused by a faulty leaking cap.

Bottom radiator hose into block, clamp wasn't tight enough. What a knob!
