VR Brake Problem

lately ive noticed the brake pedal on my vr v8 getting harder to push, there is a lack of assistance from the booster. i tried a test where you pump the pedal for about 30 seconds and then start the car, the pedal then drops slightly and then stays in that position.From what i have read this is supposed to happen.
what i do know is the revs go up slightly if you pump the pedal when idling?
2nd problem that i found is the clamp for the vacume hose that goes into the intake manifold is sitting back about 10mm further than it should and is jammed against the coil.
I think this may be leaking at the clamp, which it looks nearly impossible to get at.

what's you ideas on this?

I cannot really help as far as fixing it but I definitely recommend going to get it looked at by a professional ASAP! Brakes are about the only thing I will not play with and for a damn good reason!
