    Default sc14

hi guys im thinking about buying a sc14 supercharger for a vs v6 statesman. if i just get the supercharger on its own, what will i need to install it, a list of everything would be appreciated. would it be worth just buying a kit? at a higher cost. i have piping and metal available from work which i wouldnt need to purchase. what do you guys think?

Cheap and nasty. Wouldn't touch one of those with a barge pole.

Have a search for some pics to see what you need. You would need an intercooler if you want to gain its full potential.

A supercharger designed for a motor that's half the size not to mention replacement parts are hard to find. Oh and they sound like a wailing banshee when you rev it. Awesome.....

If something goes wrong with it, they are so bloody cheap, just buy another 1 and you are going again.
Was told you can run 3 to 6psi easy, but have seen 10psi and more. They still lasted for many years.

IBLOWN - look him up, he had a VS S on an intercooled SC14 setup before he went Twin Turbo and full engine rebuild on an Ecotec. Also do a search...there are a few very comprehensive threads going around on SC14 superchargers...not a bad little budget blower which does pull good numbers and performance on well put together setups..

They have similar displacement as the m90 fitted factory...

Well I guess I'm just to set in my ways then. Not keen on having a wailing banshee for a motor but hey if that's what people want.

These SC14s are really good Superchargers. If you want to make good power, all you need to do is just throw on a Smaller S/C Pulley. An intercooler may be an option if you want more.

But as some other fellas have said, these things are a really cheap power-up. If you blow one, so what. $200-300 will get you another one.

    Woz.
