so im looking at a vs for a good price and seems good condition at the moment and could i just take the tranny and what not from it to my car? or swap engine? i realise the engines have to come out anyways just wondering? and i want a manual but not a new car has sentimental value
thanks
I recon if you use the search bar you will find plenty of info on the manual conversion and anything relating to it.
Its probably easier to just pull out the engine and tranny from the other car and fit it in, you will need a few other little things like the wiring loom as the manual and auto's are different, and i think also the ECU. thats just my thoughts anyway. hope it helps
dont need the ecu, but getting a manual ecu makes it easier
When i grow up... i want to be young again
a manual ECU and wiring loom will make it easier. you will need to make sure you bridge the wires on the auto gear selector thingy right near the shifter coz otherwise it will never start and you may need to screw around with the reverse light wiring. the pedal assembly and grommet for the clutch cable will be needed along with a manual tailshaft. ill try to think of all the other small things you need...
