i have a 1996 vs s2 that wont start after driving it long distance(1 hr or more) unless i let it cool off completely.driving short distance it starts first time no worries.ive changed the leads and plugs but still happens.
Won't start as in turns over and doesn't fire? Or won't turn over?
If it is the first one, then I would say the Crank Angle Sensor has shit itself. If it won't turn over then it may be the starter on it's way out, or even just a loose battery terminal. Also check the positive lead on the starter solenoid and make sure it's tight. The cap on the solenoid can come loose too and cause it not to turn over when hot. You will have to replace the solenoid if that is the case.
Agreed with above, most likely you're CAS has shit its self.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
it turns over and some times even starts but if it does start it splutters and then just stops, almost like its not getting fuel.
Carry a bottle of water with you, when it does it again, pour some water over the CAS and see if it starts, if it does, it is definitely your CAS.
sounds like CAS check for codes.
