Cat back exhaust
Hey guys I just got a new standed exuast on my vr commodore cause I needed it for rego and after I did and got my car on the road I realized I won't a cat back 2.5" inch exuast I was hopping you'd could help me. Would the cat back exuast improve my power or will it just make and better sound and is it worth the money after I just got the standed exuast for 300 dollars.

Doesn't drive like this
There is certainly no increase in power for me. With regards to sound, all I got was a drone under load. I have recently put a stock system back on mine after the sports system wore out, and the car seems to run better. Each to their own, but I would save your cash for something else.
I remember i just got a 2 1/2 inch pipe put on right at the back from like the diff on my vr v6. It sounded better than stock, and at high rev's it kind of had a whistle to it. I thought it was cool at the time. It cost me 50 bucks at an exhaust place. V6 exhausts are pretty hard to get right and 90% sound like a wet fart. I've not heard many v6's i liked. But it didn't stop me playing with the exhaust when i was driving one. The power increase is probably not something you'll be able to notice. Its more about the sound.
Why did u pay 300 to get your exhaust back to stock?
Yeah maybe I'll save the cash and get more mods but my put one on at the end of my project just for the better sale price and soundcheers for your help mate.
It allways had a stock exuasht on it but it had cracks all through it and was pretty much stuffed and when they put the new stock one on I felt abut of a difference and I also found out it has a LSD in it witch I never new as I just brought the car haha quite a good surprise. As i was saying I might put one on at the end of my project.
