    Default Help!

    Hey Guys,

So I have a had a coupld of issues with my VS Ute of late. The first issue happened when it was low on fuel. The car stalled when driving and would not restart. The fuel light was not on, so I thought that this might not have been an issue. So I filled the car up with fuel and off it went again.

Hadn't had any problems since. Until I was driving home one day and the engine light came on as if to say there is something wrong, and the car stopped. I was driving at around 80klms an hour and it cut out.

COuldn't get the car restarted. Called a tow truck and the tow truck guy got in it and it started again. The car had been sitting for an hour or so.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I have seen posts stating that it could be the crank angle sensor, would the be right? Or could this be another electrical fault?

Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Nothing to do with your fuel light, but the stopping then starting.. CAS. Check your engine codes.. This my first guess.

sounds like the cas as seq4x4 said. but you need to check your fault codes.

If the car turns off again after drving have some water in the car poor it on the harmonic blancer and if it starts after doing that then it is the CAS.

OK, being that I do not have a lot of knowledge when it comes to cars, where is the harmonic balancer located?

Could you provide a picture of this for me?
