Since you've a vs v6, you will have both a coolant temp sender, and sensor. They are both located under the thermostat housing at the front of the inlet manifold. The sender (which works the cluster temp gauge) is the small one with one green wire with black plug attached to it. The sensor (which sends engine temp info to the pcm) is the larger one with an electrical plug attached. Its approximately a 19mm hex from memory.
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers

Check your relays first. Thermo (on a VT) will switch on at 102deg i think.

If its an 8cyl it still on the front on the inlet manifold, but its under the intake and also there is one sender and sensor there.
