My mates keep telling me to put moth balls in... I keep telling them i dont think it would work. In the end i told them, im changing my engine at the end of the week, ill try it if you provide the moth balls.
So 10mins later they come back with come Hovex moth balls. The shit you hang up to kill bugs. Theres 3 in each hangy up thing.
What are your thoughts?
The moth ball theory that you put them in and bump your octane levels right up.

I hope you guys do know it's legit, However mothballs have no ratings on them anymore to judge the amount before you kill your fuel.
Cheers

I would leave it alone i were you.
might damage ur injectors fuel pump or fuel lines lol problly not a good idea

Oh, The Humanity!!! Those poor little moths!! ... How many of these little buggers are you going to castrate in the vane hope of a higher octane rating?!!
saw it on mythbusters, it worked.... but you know, its in america so products will be different.
why not add some nitroglycerin in though. it worked on the worlds fastest indian ^.~
I wont have to do it now. Ill just show them this thread lol
Sounds retarded for this day and age.
Read somewhere was done in the past to boost octane rating due to poor fuel quality in the 1930's.
The link below will take you to the myth busters testing of mothballs in the fuel tank.
You should test a moth ball in a small can of petrol to see if it dissolves before you do anything.
Chemistry of today's fuel eg 98 Ron fuel is pretty hi tech, and you are likely to f...up the mix and can never be sure what you brew you end up with.
If you proceed and do it, you have my full support in nominating you for the inaugural 2011 JC Meathead of the Year Award.
Let me know if you proceed so I can formally send in the nomination so you can be honoured as the recipient of the above Meathead Award.
