Default VS BT1 dual plane manifold

    hey

    i have a few questions
ive been searching the net and forums trying to find the answers with no luck

    first question
ive got a 96 seriesII vs v8 BT1.. its stock except for high flow 3 inch exhaust and gilmer drivers

im looking at putting on a redline/harrop/torque power manifold dual plane, a 1000cfm elderbrock throttle body and a mr gasket bug catcher
now my question is do i go standard dual plane manifold or go the high rise?
i want the bug catcher to stick out the bonnet

    examples of what i want

    now my next question is

if i decide to stroke the motor to a 355 can i use my stock cam, stock head and stock 304 tune?
basically just install the stroker kit, crank, rods, pistons but just run everything else stock

any info to either questions would be great

Basically in my mind its a no, with the manifolds there is a diffrence between what they do, the taller one gives you more torque from memory. Also with your motor you cant just wack a few things together and expect it to work, if it was me doing it properly i would get the heads done and a bigger cam, dont worry about the stroker kit bump up compressions, balance the bottom end and make it rev properly, then a dyno tune. its bit of money worth but it beats a half ass job.

This is the first bugcatcher on an NA commodore I've seen that doesn't look homo.

I think it still looks homo. And the mods you've planned are completely pointless except for looks.
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
