It's got like a sleeve that moves and stuff, I'm just worried it's not something that broke and the previous owner just removed and didn't replace

Being brass I would suspect water. Is there any sediment in it?

What do you know about the previous owner? If they were a plumber or a fridgy or a tech of some description it may give an indication.

Are there any mods on the car? A compressor, intercooler etc? Something that would need What looks like a pressure relief unit? How big is it - no point of reference in the pic.

It's roughly 3 quarters the size of the key, Also looks corroded, kinda like a boat hull if you know what i mean

I don't know anything about the previous owner, other than they lived in a poor socio-economic area.

No, I believe the car is completely stock. Just the 3.8 V6

Looks like a air bleeder that slides to open the hole off a Cheap Hardware air comp.
