need help with vs
i was driving and the car just stalled.
checked the radiator today and it was full but checked it after and there was little liquid in it.
smoke was comming out of the car.
has the engine cooked itself?
iwhat needs to be done to repair it?

What temp was it on?
Where was the smoke coming from?
Will it turn over now its cooled down (maybe seized)?
If it runs fill it with water and see were it's going.

Can you provide more info? Surely if its just split a hose you would have noticed the steam coming from the water hiting the exhaust before you cooked it?
Or has it gone into the engine?
Have you checked your oil?
smoke was comming from the engine and radiator
there was a slight tap before it stopped
havent tried to start it again, going back to the car soon to try and start it
Was it smoke or steam?
Check the oil also.
If you have ran it out of water chances are its burnt all the oil also.
If this has happened you have probably seized it. Check oil and water and top up both if needed.

got the car started with a ticking noise
so towed it home
started it again and the ticking noise was barely there
could it be the head gasket
Check the oil.
Did you fill it with water when you went and got it?
You have more than a head gasket issue if it got so hot that it stopped.
Ticking could be a number of things. First check your oil (that it isnt full of water).
If Thats ok but you lost all your water i would find where the leak is.
Running the engine out of water and it stopping has prob stuffed the head also.
Flush the radiator and check all the hoses, then either top the oil up or do a oil change if its over due for one.
theres no water in the oil or oil in the water.. but it smells burnt
Well can you find an obvious water leak? Obviously you have driven it without water and when this happens the engine burns the oil/destroys
the head then will stop.
mange to save it, topped it up with water and oil today
she starts but i think i need to change the water pump, thermostat and coil pack
there's not leaks from the engine as well
