Hi,
My Commodore VR '94 started missfiring and shuddering when accelerating or driving uphill. It doesn't happen all the time, but the problem seems to be more notable when the engine gets warmer. Replaced spark plugs, HT leads and fuel filter but not luck. Tested coils with Ohmmeter and the readings seem OK. Can they play up? The car has allways been rather sluggish and lazzy when accelerating, even when I bought it with only 80K on the clock (300K now), but otherwise run OK.
Any ideas?
check the gaps on your plugs, .8 should be ok , also do an ohms check on your leads make sure theyre all good if u still have an issue id be heading towards a faulty coil
Give the injectors a clean up. Could be partically blocked.
id say coilpacks, just recently had the same problem with my vs ute... it was sluggish under load... it came down to the coils, but id also run some injector clean thro it to.. seemd to help mine..
Coil Packs and DFI Module (The black module the Coil packs sit on to receive a signal to send the spark)
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
