I have a standard Vs diff but latey its been doing duelies i know its possible to get both spinning if your lucky but not all the time is this bad...
1. Where are you doing the skids and what condition is the surface?
Just random places if i feel like itand normaly on just plain tarmac ay
This place is for Commodore enthusiasts, not hoons and unsafe drivers.
If you want to do skids or go fast then go to a drag strip.
Hence why my question was asked.
I agree with skappascrap.
I was only going to help if i knew you wernt a ######## on the road.
Mate i am a commodore enthusiast and i look after my car and i take it to the drag strip the only problem is the closest drag strip is and hour and a half away
and im not going to drive it there every time i feel like doing a burnout and every single person on the road is a hoon or an unsafe driver in some way or other so don't rip on me for doing a burnout every now or then...
It will go BANG soon.........
I can't help but thinking your diff will outlast your licence.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
LOL at doing single peggers in the first place.
You may say that you are a Commodore enthusiast, but doing burnouts "at random places if I feel like it" doesn't sound too good as a first impression to anyone I don't think.
I may be only on my learners but I have much more sense than that mate.
If you have the money for using tires then you should have the money to do a diff service at least.
i was just being honest and as for your license iv'e been driving for 6 years never crashed or lost a point off my license so don't just assume that im a bad driver just cause i do burnouts
Nobody is questioning your driving skills mate.. What is being scrutinised here is the first impression you made to everybody here with your opening comments.. My only hope for you is that you aren't showing off these years of driving "experience" around kids and setting a bad example for those whom are watching.. We have enough problems with P-Platers doing these kinds of things in Commodores; It's not doing them or anybody else any good if you encourage them to wrap their car around a pole. I know for a fact I get watched every time I a stretch of road just because of the previous fact. I was followed for 50km's down the F3 just the other day in fact. And as skappa said, if you have the money for tyres mate, just get a simple diff service done on your car.. Shouldn't cost you more than $100 to keep the life in your car..
If you can do it yourself, it will cost you probably half that.. There are plenty of topics here that detail the steps in doing it and it will only cost you an hour of your time.
Thats alright mate iv'e already done a service to it myself a couple of weeks ago
I was just asking this question for advice
Cause some people say that when an open diff starts spinning both wheels its on its way out
and some people say it dosen't just trying to clear things up thats all
Did you check for metal shavings?
Yeah i did there was a little bit of shavings but not heaps
