    Question V8 intake manifold question.

    Hi guys. .
Im pretty sure the intake manifold gasket has gone on my vr v8.
I can see oil leaking all down the back and over the top of the bellhousing.
What im wondering is how big a job is it to change this?
Is there anywhere i can find step by step instructions to do the job?
    Thanks heaps guys!
    Keep up the good work!

Sure it's not the distributor O-ring leaking?

It's not a big job, can't recall if you have to remove the dizzy or not but I don't think you do. If not just a bunch of bolts, scrape off old gaskets, replace with new ones, bit of sealant front and back and bolt her back together.
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.

Basically whatever is attached to the manifold by the means of wires, cables, hoses etc will need to be disconected. If your not sure whats what just label what your taking off, take some pics as you go if you have to. Keep in mind what comes off has to go back on so plan a head. Just make sure it is the manifold gasket first. Degrease everything go for a spin then have a good look from the top and bottom with some decent light.
