    Default 98 VS V6 clutch

    hi guys,
    does anyone know if a clutch kit for a 98 vs v8 will fit in my 98 vs v6??
    or does anyone know where i can get a cheap clutch kit from? i want a heavy duty one...

    Pretty sure both have the getrad box, the v6 has the dual mass though. But I'm gonna convert to single mass.

    i think that the v8 came with a T5.
    the v6 getrag have a dual mass, if you are converting then you need the right clutch for the fly wheel you are getting, I think you can get a kit from exedy which has a flywheel, and clutch kit, good brand but might be a bit on the rich side. shop around on ebay most of the clutch kit's are fairly good.

    unless you want to go something serious then might aswell go a dual mass. as it is used to dampen the vibrations, without it it can cause damage.
    if its for the getrag it will be $1600 from autobarn for the exedy DMF kit. (flywheel, clutch and another bit...)

    if you want to convert it to SMF then you will have to get a kit to convert it.
    you would need the clutch kit and the conversion from DMF to SMF. which from memory from autobarn (exedy brand) is about $1400.
    how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that
