Brake rotors

How much would I expect to pay at a mechanic to change one brake rotor and brakes pads? Right front.

anything from jack all to a ####ing shit load depends where u go to. an example is my auntie got quoted 500bucks to change her front pads in her focus.
but they will buy a set of pads 80bucks and a rotar 50bucks so im guessing 200-300.
why only one side though?

you should always change both sides at once.

my rough guess would be about 180-200 in parts

and probably 2 hours labor as a safe bet roughly $80 anhour

front rotors are easy to do yourself if you can, but al said above depending on your mechanic it can cost you a fortune, and definatly change both front rotors, buy a set of slotted rotors off ebay $140 and then the pads only cost 25 bucks for 2, atleast that's what my mechanic charged me, plus about 1 and a half hours of work maybe less once again depending on the mechanic.
