Default Code 31 - Theft Deterrent Signal missing

Code 31 - Theft Deterrent Signal missing - What would cause this?
Ive had a look on the forums and people say faulty key?

I've disconnected the flashing light in my dashboard.. would this have caused the code?
I went to start it yesterday.. nothing.. took key out and tried again and started up... - or maybe this?

Also.. Since Ive got my car back from Engine Transplant it sometimes flashes the yellow engine warning light? while driving..

    cheers

It's not unusual to get a code 31 for no apparent reason so I wouldn't be concerned unless you are having difficulties starting the car. I'd reconnect the flashing red light as it is a good indication that the immobiliser is ON/OFF.
