Default vs ss ute lpg issues - help

Hi everyone. Was hoping you could
help me out with some issues im having with my series 3 vs ss ute. It currently runs on lpg/fuel. Its been recently serviced and i was told it will need inlet manifold gasket replacing as there is a coolant leak.

If you start on lpg, turn car off then restart it is really hard to start again.

Also mechanic fiddled with mixture while in for service and now it stalls when idling at lights or roundabouts.

It wont start on fuel but will switch over to fuel fine when driving at speed.

I also get a fuel smell in cabin when windows open (not when closed)

I dont know if the manifold gasket leak is any bearing on all of this but that is in to get fixed soon. Is there any other things i can try? Sorry for the essay

    Cheers
    Steve

On our VS 304 with dual fuel we had a fuel leak at the fuel regulator with the inlet hose a little perished. A trim and refit with a decent clamp fixed that. The engine seemed to stall on LPG and that was fixed with a decent tune done by me. All I did was adjust the idle mixture fitting inline with the supply to the throttle body.

Now, our car seemed to surge on LPG depending on what speed we were doing around 70 km/hr when in the 80 and 100 zones. It also surged on idle when the tank was less than 1/8 full. Took it in for a check up to a so called LPG expert and promptly took my keys back and drove off when he was happy to leave our car unlocked in the front carpark of his workshop. Anyway, took the car home and made the balance line fitting to the lower airbox larger with an adjustable valve to tune the pressure change during acceleration/deceleration. Huge improvement with driveability and fuel economy just doing this.

I recently went one step further and connected a larger diameter tube to this balance line from the inside of the airbox and had this reference intake air pressure from the CAI inlet above the radiator. Now the car doesn't miss a beat and starts on LPG no worries and does not have that delay when switching between petrol to LPG while driving. In fact it is not noticeable.

I hope there is something here that may be applicable for you if it is not a vacuum leak at your intake manifold. Best of luck...
