trans is momentarily slipping back to 3rd from 4th while cruising along at 80 plus kph. ...also when first cold start of the day,the trans takes a little longer than when hot to go into reverse out from my garage.............pressure control solenoid problem or other?
Could be the throttle position sensor...also check fluid level when hot.....check fluid colour - if dark it needs changing

I had a similar issue just recently, but it mainly happened when going up a hill.
Level looked full on the dipstick.
Had the gearbox serviced only to find out that there had been water in there, from a slow leak in the radiator.
Had the transmission lines flushed and gearbox serviced and now all goes well.
Hope this helps some.
it maybe just TCC unlock which it is about that speed in the stock tune. If your having problems when hot then you prob need to first check your oil and oil level.
If it was the TCC unlocking, it would only mean a slight increase in revs and it would stay in 4th and not drop down to 3rd unless you were going up a steepish hill.

well to get 4th back to 3rd at more than 80km/h you'd have to be more than 50% on the throttle. Otherwise there's something wrong.
My mistake...engine revs increase but not dropping back to 3rd....so suggestion of tcc unlock [which I had not heard of] seems the logical explanation.
Is this a solenoid or sensor problem???
it's normal, the standard tune locks the tcc up between 0-19% throttle at 78km/h and unlocks at 75km/h, i usually bump the apply upto 85 so it does engage disengage around 80 so much.
All in the memcal tune, read this site if you want to get into yourself, otherwise there's a few around here that do tunes as well as myself.
