VT into VS. Transmission questions. Searched/Unanswered.

Hey guys. Im doing the VT engine into VS. Thats not a problem. However my TC has ####ed out on the VS and i was planing to put the VT TC in there. But i read that they were different. So since iv got the VT tranny i thought i might drop that in. However with a few hours of searching i can not get a straight answer.

So heres what i cant not find:
Is the VS and VT TC different?
When fitting the VT auto into a VS will the vs loom plug in?
Also where and how much of the right side of the auto box needs alloy taken out of it to fit around the vS exhaust?
The engine is out of a VT series 2 wagon. Auto box is a 9HFD. Looks to have an exchangable bellhousing too. However i have no more money to put into this conversion.

Any light on these topics would be helpful thank you.

I believe that it will not fit due to clearance issues with the exhaust. If you get a custom made exhaust i should fit well that's what i read. Please correct me if i am wrong guys.

The 9HFD was only used in VT's and WH VT Statesmans, Other than that i dont know, usually they bolt up the same but wiring and cooler line connectors can be different, so i guess you'l need to track down a wiring diagram.

Cheers guys. I didnt know about the difference in the harness and lines. I just need some yes or nos or something because as it sits now, i either need to put this box and TC in or sell this one to buy one for a VS.

Mate try and find a box the same year as your car.
You will have an issue with the plug because im pretty sure your plug will only be a 9pin and the vt will be a 10.
That plus the exhaust and oil cooler lines will make this more expensive than its worth.
Sell it and get a box the same year. You wont have any problems then and will be alot more hassle free!

Thanks mate, just before i read this i put it up on boost. But the down side is.. This box needs to sell this before the weekend to be able to buy one for a VS. And the chances of someone swaping a VS box, that works mind you, for a VT one is pretty slim.
