My Vr bt1 engine has developed a problem and my father has a engine out of a vp series 2. Just wondering ifig would bolt straight up?

sadly even if it did, its illegal not aloud to go backwards with engines, only forward

Again with this older motor BS. The 5 litres are all the same up to the VS I believe. VT had other things. If it's a 5 litre you should be fine. Same emissions gear etc.

    v6 or v8?
    v8: drop in and enjoy......
v6: change timing cover to the vr one (because they have the cam angle sensor) then drop in and enjoy

My vr has had a vp engine for as long as I have had it....apart from the cam sensor they are exactly the same ..and the dipstick location is different.....surely if you advise the wankers at the transport dept of the change in engine number all would be good..
This is my vr that I rebuilt ....CLICK HERE to see my vr on Cardomain ......if you want to check it out......Anyway make sure you rubbish a ford daily ....I am a 4DH8RZ Club lifetime member .................new members joining everyday
