When will it EFF-ing end!

Im so sick of my car at the moment....

Im having a random issue where it loses power when accelerating lightly? It sounds like its starving itself or a plug is randomly fouling?

I noticed it was hard to start after fooling about with the headlight wires for some reason (not saying it has anything to do with the issue) and when I drove off it would almost cut out and stall on me??

I noticed earlier that day that the Taco isnt working so maybe its electrical?

Any ideas where to start?

Im going to replace all the leads and plugs in the morning so just in case their not the culprit, would anyone know where else to start?


P.S Why would my RPM dial stop working?

Doesn't the tacho count from the coil?

Id be leaning towards DFI rather then coils if the tacho is playing up.

304 doesnt have a DFI thats on the 6, i recon it could be a coil issue as well, but that said there is allways some thing small that gets missed and will cause big problems, give the engine bay a once over and check there is no loose wires,hoses or bolts-check all the ignition parts, fuel filter and regulator.

mine was doing similar things, and it was a weak fuel pump. And another time with similar symptoms it was one of the spark leads. Rather than replacing the leads, the easiest thing to do is check them with a multimeter set to ohms and make sure you can get a signal through them.

check your ignition module wiring could be loose or corroded grab some contact cleaner and spray the plug and module connections .

could be ur fuel pump man, mine did that until they listened to it making noise, changed it over, cheap on ebay too
