VS V8 wont start help!!

Hey guys
I have a vs v8 that hasnt been started in about 2-3 years i put a battery in turned the key so it was on reds and as soon as i tried to start the car it just made a click noise and the reds wouldnt come up again so i tried to jump start it and the
car would turn over just not start with the still flat noise when trying to start if that makes sense.
How would i fix this by buying a brand new battery and jump start it aswell to make things easier?

I would try another battery, if your in the NRMA give them a call and they will test it they also have more power available for jumping

I had the exact same thing just that bloody dissapointing little click, put a new battery and havent had a worry since

Flat Battery for sure.. And unless you have really thick jumper cables (which most people dont) it wont jump start any easier...

Got a new battery still doing the same thing but ive noticed the negative wires get hot after a few turns at trying to start it bad earth?

Is it clicking still or is it actually turning over and not starting?
