Default How to remove lower intake manifold?

I've tried searching the forums but can't find an answer. I'm trying to remove the lower inlet manifold. I've remove plenum injectors all the sensors and what not and the bolts holding it down. It's moving around but the looks like something under the thermo housing that is holding it in?? I need to replace the whole lower inlet. Also what gaskets or seals am I looking to replace? Cheers guys

Near the front left there is a heater pipe that goes into the side of the inlet manifold that needs to be pulled out enough so you can lift out the inlet manifold.

But I got the inlet manifold out without doing that that lol but to make things easy there is a wire that is bolted on the front top left which you can remove... This is where you can remove the heater pipe by undoing these bolts... there is two heater pipes which will need new O-rings....

In the picture the red arrow is the pipe that needs to pulled out a bit and the red circles are the bolts that you need to remove....

Yeah when I have done it before I just pull out the inlet manifold sideways slightly, comes out easily. Although it was an absolute bitch to put back on once I fitted a new o-ring (must have been slightly larger)

It is easy when you slide the heater pipe out of the way when you put the inlet manifold back on.

sure are, you will need the two inlet gaskets (one for each head) and a front and back seal (sits in the middle of the valley), these days im pretty sure you can get them in a kit for around 60 bucks or from holden for $90. hope all goes well. i am also planning on changing the manifold gaskets in a few weeks. was gonna do it today but insufficient funds mean i have to save up a bit of cash.

You can get the inlet manifold gaskets from mace that supposedly will never need replacing again. I used that one, I think it was slightly over $100.

Haha well I don't plan to keep this motor in for much longer so might just stick with the repco ones and does the package include the o rings?

Ok tried again and that pipe just would not move so I ended up having to pull the tensioner pulley and alternator off. Does this pipe slide out easy or does it need to be pulled out? Also there was a large build up off brown muck in the water jackets on the heads. Docent look to nice is this normal?
    Cheers for the help guys
