Depends, I bought a Genuine Clubsport kit complete for $300, sprayed and fitted it myself. Total was approx $500 that included my paint, thinners, primer and blocker.

I was quoted $450 to have it sprayed and an additional $350 for fitting, from my local panel beater.

genuine is better if you can get it, its not made of fibreglass and doesnt smash every time you come near a gutter.

If you want more adventurous stuff, like later model kits on earlier cars, you need to be prepared to put up with being ever so careful going up driveways or parking in parking bays with those poxy concrete blocks at the end of them. If the nose protrudes more than original, you'll start by smashing the nose on every driveway you go up until you learn lol...

I like the look of mine, but even though its still stock ride height, I have to be careful because the nose sticks out too much. Pretty much ruled out lowering it, ever. Its a price I am willing to pay for the look I have achieved but life will be a lot easier for you if you get the VS front bar too.

I am on superlows with my Genuine Kit

Drives are hard to get up if there on an incline. however the worst ive done is a few scrapes under the front bar and skirts.

Mate has an after market VY Clubsport kit on his VS also is lowered on super lows, he has taken quite a few large pieces out of the bar already.

Aww it'd suck to reverse off a driveway and rip the front bar off.. Especially my driveway its not even a driveway its just a gutter

Not too keen on older cars with newer body kits, but thats just me. I dont think they look right, but each to his/her own.
