ok so my VR was running fine then all of a sudden it gets extremely hot and starts stalling when you come to a stop
and to get it to start again you have to kick it over and pump the accelerator pedal..
Also is using ALOT of water but has no leaks and oil isnt milky at all..
took it to mechanic and they did a co2 test and no exhaust fumes in water..
and thought i might add if you fill the radiator right up and leave the lid off and turn it over it like pulsates water
out of the radiator each time the engine turns..
So i thought it might be the intake manifold gasket allowing water through to the cylinder and exiting the exhaust
but replaced this the other night and still no good...
also have replaced in the past 1 month..
- waterpump
- thermostat
- radiator
- temp sensor
- plugs
- leads
- oil and filter
- air filter
- fuel filter
has anyone else had this problem or do you think it may be blown head gasket?....cracked head?...
any help would be awsome thanks
Is the cooling fan turning on?
yeah i've basically replaced the whole cooling system...
and fan is turning on
If theres bubbles, you are not having a good day.
It sounds like the heads gaskets gone.. Or a cracked wall. Either way.
Thats saying, if you replaced the inlet manifold correctly.
Maybe a air lock ?
travis.
i've tried to get the air out but the bubbles keep putting air back in..
when you say cracked wall..will reco'd heads fix this?
A cracked wall will be in the block. Not in the heads. I suggest getting a compression test done on your car. Will tell you if you have a crack or a busted gasket/warpped head.

Could also be inlet manifold gasket, its a more common problem than heads or head gaskets on the v6. There is a water journal that runs through the inlet manifold and quite regularly blows the gasket and leaks water straight into the inlet manifold. Many mechanics will replace heads and head gaskets when this is the problem and not realise that it was in fact just a manifold gasket.
