vr conversion

hey guys
im am going to convert my vr from auto to manual i have a donor series 2 vn manual

will this engine and 5 speed all bolt into the vr using the vr engine loom and vn computer and gearbox loom?

has anyone done this before?

any help will be greatly appreciated

If there is nothing wrong with your VR motor why swap it?
I am sure the gear box will bolt up to your original motor since there pretty much the same.

I would be looking for a manual VR ECU , Not sure if the loom or ECU would fit, others here would know better than me

Fair as i can tell, there is no differance in the motors from series 2 VN to VR.
But im an ecotec guy so dont hold me to it.

Either way motor has tom come out, so much easier to mate the box up with it out unless you have a hoist.
I do believe the loom is different. Tune is slightly different. (from auto to manual)

Yeah, done this to a VR Calais about 2 years ago. The box was out of a VN... Went in fine....

ill be using the vn s2 engine and box as the vr engine has done a hg and bigends haha

so the s2 vn engine will plug into the vr loom and everything?

should all plug into vr loom but there is a few more senders like crank angle sensor or cam angle sensor or something stupid like that
