I havent started my vs commo in about 2 months as i lost my keys and just used dads car to get around. anyways i ended up buying a new battery found my cars and now its running like crap like its missing and blowing alot of smoke. would you say it just got crap built up the i need to blow out by revving it up abit? and i have a deadspot on my accelerator when i first put my first down hard it dies fpor about a second and a half then goes again
I'd say start her up and let it sit for a bit. Might also be worth checking/changing plugs, leads, rotor cap & button or firstly check for error codes and go from there

Could be poor fuel.
Leaving it to sit for 2 months is like raping the shit out of it for 4 months. Its not good, give it a major service. Get some octane booster/injector cleaner too.

i have ran my car till empty there wasnt much fuel in it and bought new fuel but i think im still blowing the crap fuel out due to the smoke. but i have recently replaced leads, loug and coils, radiator, fuel pump. but i might start it and let it run or idol for an hour and give her abit of a rev every now and then hard part is i cant drive it around street to mess around with it and blow it out as its unregistered. thanks for your help
it would of sucked $h!t up out of the tank when it ran out...
oh so ill just blow it out by revving the shit outa her i guess
Injector cleaner is the biggest waste of money don't even bother with it there's additives in petrol that keep the injectors and everything clean and lubricated.
well it is making tick tick tick tick tick noises so i am gonna buy a new fuel pump and the ticking im pretty sure is coming from the injectors
injectors do click, it means they are working. you do not notice with the bonnet down. the smoke could be oil runnung down your valve stems as these go hard , usually from lack of use. if it is runnung theres nothing wrong with the fuel pump, a good motto for you is if its not broke dont fix
well when in gear just foot off brake so its rolling its like going chug chug chug and lurches back and forth. so hmm its got me stumpped.
Any error codes?

this is why A) there's a filter sock on the fuel pump to catch big bits of crap (rust flakes etc) B) there's a fuel filter inline with the pipes to catch all the small bits
this will stop anything major getting to the injectors from this side, cleaning the injectors is usually to remove the carbon/varnish that builds up from the intake port end.
unleaded fuel will start to go stale after 4-6 weeks and loose it's octane, the longer it sits un-used the worse it will get, will still burn but very slow and dirty, run quite a few liters of fresh fuel through to dilute anything stale left behind, you can usually smell stale fuel it stinks when the engine runs, you'll never get it all out unless you take the tank out and physically tip it out till it's dry, i've just ran into this problem as a car had been sitting for 3 years, drained as much as i could without dropping the tank and it's taken 50-60 liters being run through it at 10-15 liters at a time till almost empty before putting more in for the stale fuel smell to finally disappear from the exhaust while running, a bit of injector cleaner/octane boost with the last lot and it's pretty good now.

Jxw thankyou and was your car having the same problem as mine?
yeah the new engine i dropped into the body was running like a dog, missing & plenty of foul smelling smoke.
Before i fitted it had it running on an engine stand and it was fine, flushed all the crap fuel out and it came good in the car.
my car also rocks back and forth like crazy at low revs but i always thought it was my cam. but it did get better after the two month old fuel i had was gone as it was sitting around that long.

yea, ill just chuck 15 litrs or so in at a time and run it for abit hopefully clear it out, put some injector cleaner in it to, if not ill get em to drain the tank at the service when its registered. thanks
