    Unhappy Hit a gutter :(

One of my favorite photos of her

    VS Executive Series II
I'm so pissed, I miss my baby so much.
I hit a gutter going about 20-30k's and snapped my K-frame pretty badly.
I was going pretty fast around a few bends and i couldn't counter steer fast enough and went right into it.
I want to fix her, but I have no money atm, shes just sitting outside my house and i have to see her every morning
    Pics:

    Snapped pretty badly.

    Put on a spare:

This is how many K's shes sitting on atm, seems like such a waste to just get rid of her.

replace K-frame and Z bars will probably cost you around $400-$500 fitted.

Cheaper for second hand. But that about of damage at 20 to 30km/h seems very unlikely in my opinion... Now seeing what happens are you keen to slow the hell down?

$500 should get him a complete VS. Pretty easy job to change over.

If you use new parts and pay some one to fit. One thing I see at the wreckers all the time is K-frames being sent to suspension places.

Lots and lots of people smack the K-frames - so your not alone on that one.

just find someone who is wrecking a vs an buy the k frame not hard to fit it and could probably be fixed for around 100 if u do it yourself hard to say with out looking at it but proably need to do struts and strut tops steering rack and k frame if u can get the k frame and eveything that bolts to it an swap em over b good to go if u can get a hold of a engine crane an some spare wheels sit the car on the wheels 2 each side should do jack the motor just enough to take weight of the k frame undo engine mounts and power steering lines strut tower nuts and kframe nuts the whole lot should drop out then bolt the new one up in reverse of taking it out if u look around should be able to get a k frame with everything atached for under 200

Once you stack your car or lose your license you realise its faster to drive slowly than walk quickly. We've all been there and its a tough lesson to learn

I stacked my VR in a very similar way about a year ago. I tell ya mate, even after new struts, k frame and wheel alignment it was never the same again.

The kind of force that will crack your subframe like that is more than enough to tweak your chassis rails.

So I suggest you be extremely wary of spending any money on that car untill its been on a chassis straightening jig, or at very least an alignment machine.

BTW i ended up scrapping the vr. Spent far too much money on it - i think the golden rule with cars is "Dont get sentimental"

    Agreed.

This could be far more than a bent subframe.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
